Infection Rates and Prevention
As part of our ongoing commitment to patient safety and in keeping with our CARE values (Caring, Accountable, Responsive, Excellent), the Northeast Mental Health Centre (NEMHC) will be reporting a number of infection rates acquired within our facility.
Public reporting will allow us to establish a baseline from which we can track our rates over time. If we feel our rates have risen above our baseline, we can look internally at our processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to reduce the incidence of these infections in our organization.
The following indicators will be posted, both here and on the MOHLTC website at www.ontario.ca/patientsafety as of the indicated dates:
