How to Become a Volunteer

Your Day, Your Time, Your Choice....

All high school volunteers are welcomed, otherwise volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Volunteer applications can be dropped off anytime throughout the year.

No minimum commitment period needed.

1. Every volunteer must be interviewed by the coordinator of Volunteer Services
2. An Application Form must be filled out and submitted
3. Every volunteer needs to go through a screening process:
   • Provide 2 character references
   • An up-to-date criminal reference check (no more than 3 months old) must be submitted
   • Every volunteer must go through the Employee Health Department at NEMHC for a health review
4. Every volunteer must attend a hospital orientation.
